The SERP follows an algorithm or a point system to determine how the various websites will be displayed. Higher-ranked websites are placed at the very top of the SERP. As a result, these websites have a higher chance of getting clicked by site visitors.
DA (Domain Authority)
Domain Authority is the search engine rankings score that determines how high a website appears on the search engine results page. DA is determined by a point system ranging from 1 to 100 and uses a variety of factors to determine how well a website can rank.
The number of site visitors, site engagement, how well your website is maintained, among others, are the basis for the ranking criteria. Having high points gets high Domain Authority which can lead to higher rankings.
PA (Page Authority)
Similar to Domain Authority, Page Authority is the probability that a specific page in your website will appear in search engine results. It also uses a point system from 1 to 100 where higher ranked pages will be displayed on top of search engine results.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
The Uniform Resource Locator, most commonly known as URL, is the address of a webpage. The clickable link directs site visitors to your website.
URLs are usually confused with domain names, but the main difference is that URLs are a more direct link to a more specific location in your website, while the domain name is the human-friendly version of an IP address. The website address is in its simplest form, and typing it on a search engine will lead you to a site’s default home page.
